Trailer axle spacers are installed between the axle mounting plate and the trailer I-beam.
Trailer axle spacers are installed between the axle mounting plate and the trailer I-beam. The spacer is a sacrificial plate designed to be eaten away before the axle mounting plate or I-beam. This helps protect the axle mounting plate and I-beam from dissimilar metals eating away at each other.

This is the marine grease we use for our trailers and recommend for hub maintenance.
This is the marine grease we use for our trailers and recommend for hub maintenance. It’s also the grease required in your hubs to maintain warranty coverage. Check your hubs every 3 months or 300 miles, keeping enough clean grease in the hub to still see it when you remove the cap. If the grease looks discolored, it’s time to pump in fresh grease and replace it.
